A Face For Radio

A weekly radio show, loosely based around my love for music โ€” new tracks, old favourites, the odd live gem, and the week's music news read out like it's breaking. (And yes, I'll always find a way to ramble about bass players)

๐Ÿ“ป Live Tuesdays, 9โ€“10am ยท CamFM 97.2

What's actually in the show

Every episode moves around a bit, but a lot of the time it usually looks something like this:

Segment one

Low End Legend of the Week

A deep dive into one bass player โ€” who they are, what they've played on, and one song that proves why they deserve your attention.

Segment two

Live Music Education

A live recording, picked to show a band or artist stripped of studio polish โ€” all the rawness and feel you don't always get on the record.

Segment three

The News

Three quick music headlines from the week โ€” chart news, reunions, gear drama, industry gossip, etc. Catch up on it here.

Segment four

Back to Back Bangers

Even I like to shut up for a bit... sometimes. Two brilliant songs that have caught my eye in the week with minimal chat.

We like to change the show structure whenever we can so expect surprises!

What I've been listening to at the moment

If you're looking for something slightly more modern that could belong on an early Eric Clapton album, this is definitely worth a listen... as is most of Mayer's discography! I've really been enjoying digging into his back catalogue recently so make sure to give him a listen if you haven't already!

My inspiration behind a lot of the show...

Who's behind the mic

I'm Patrick, a second-year Geography student at Christ's, originally from Liverpool, and I've been performing live music since I was six. If you're a fan of eclectic music and (somewhat) riveting conversation, make sure you tune-in every Tuesday at 9am!
